On mainradar, Hemisphere, and 5.8
I promised I'd keep you posted on what I'm working on here, so here goes.
mainradar is live and free at mainradar.munduscreatus.be. The vision has been the same since the very first version: understand where Unreal is headed, and project what the future will hold. Epic is building UE6 in the open, since June 2026, and for the next year or two we get to watch them build something we love, commit by commit. There is an overwhelming amount of work being done by talented teams in there, far more than anyone can follow by hand, and the radar exists to make sense of it. It scans the source and is updated every Monday. I improve the radar itself nearly every week too, so watch out, it moves quickly. And some fun insight straight from the data: earlier this month way less commits came in for two weeks on the engine side. Apparently even Epic takes summer breaks. The latest scan shows them jumping back in at full speed.
I use it weekly, and I want you to use it weekly too. This is where I need you: tell your friends about it, shoot me an email (replying to this one works), or join the Discord. I want and need the feedback. Every rough edge you hit, and every thing you think I'm missing, tells me what to build next.
Hemisphere is next. It's another project of mine that went quiet, and it's coming back, rebuilt from the ground up for Unreal Engine 5. There's a first look with real footage here and more recent footage on X too. I'm tinkering on it with care, and there will be more to show when it's ready.
And a big one: every Mundus Creatus plugin now runs on Unreal Engine 5.8. If you own any of them, the updates are already sitting in your Fab library, ready to install. If you don't, I'd love for you to give my plugins and assets a look at fab.munduscreatus.be. Every purchase buys me more time to build all of the above.
My day-to-day posts are on X: @WWeynants.
I'm picking up where I left off with a lot of energy and love, and I'll be building like a madman.
Thank you for being here and supporting me.
