NanoLook 1.0: Available now

I built NanoLook because context switching between screenshots and chat UIs ruins my flow. This is a tiny UE5 dockable editor window that lets you generate images from your active viewport + a prompt, and see the result right in Unreal.

On each Generate, NanoLook captures the active viewport, sends it with your prompt to Google’s image model through your own Gemini API key, then shows the return in the panel and writes a PNG to Saved/NanoLook. Click again for another take. It’s quick, minimal, and stays out of your way. I made it this way because I dislike AI services making a wrapper and building a full on credit based system on top of ChatGPT or Gemini for criminal pricing. I plan on integrating other generative models too so people can choose and pick whether they use the Gemini API, DALL-E, MidJourney, etc.

Get it here.

Use NanoLook to explore level-art direction, crank out previs beats, or try archviz moods directly on top of your geometry and lighting. Your viewport provides the composition; the prompt nudges the look. Iterate fast without leaving the editor.

This is an editor-only utility. You’ll need internet access and your own Gemini API key. If you want the full feature rundown, model notes, and licensing, I’ve put the practical details on the Fab page.

If this fits your workflow, get NanoLook on Fab and tell me what you’d like next. If you make cool stuff with my tools, please share it with me on discord, I always love seeing what people come up with.
